ARX Audibox USB I/O USB Sound Card
Product no: MAV-USB/IO
Bax Music Warranty:
This product comes with a 3-year warranty.
General
ARX hold to their no-frills ethos of producing nothing but high-quality and essential audio interfaces by presenting the ARX Audibox USB I/O. This fully plug-and-play, digital to analogue audio interface comes with professional performance and doesn't even require the potential distortion and problematic earthing of sound card outputs. Based on the same extensive Audibox Plus platform as the DI Plus and Plus 2 Rechargeable direct boxes, this interface provides fully transformer-balanced output isolation to overcome ground-loops, ground noise, and other annoying and unwanted connection hum.
The ARX Audibox USB I/O: Self Installation
The USB I/O automatically installs itself as a fully compatible and generic USB audio device and as such, no special driver is required when using it with Mac OS X, Windows XP, Vista or 7. The front panel is fitted with left and right transformer-balanced, analogue XLR input and output ports for hooking it up to any standard balanced audio input, while around the back, a Type-B USB port is provided along with a ground-lift switch and a status LED indicates when the USB I/O is connected and operating.
Rugged Housing
Housed in a solid steel chassis finished in a textured powder-coating and reinforced by anti-slip pads and a wear-resistant epoxy screen-print, this is a rugged interface made for intensive use. Since it is entirely bus-powered, it can even be used to add the kind of balanced inputs of a professional audio system to your laptop. It also offers a range of security functions including a Kensington-type computer lock and can be mounted under a desktop using the compatible bracket kit (not included).
