The ESI Maya44 is a well-known audio interface among DJs and now a roadproof edition has been released: the ESI Maya44 USB+. Enjoy the 2x2 stereo in and out in high-quality audio. The Maya44+ supports various audio drivers, such as ASIO 2.0, CoreAudio and MME/WDM. It works very well with software such as Cubase, Logic, Sonar, Reason, Reaktor, MixVibes and Traktor.
The High-Quality Construction of the Improved Maya44 USB+
The regular Maya44 USB was already quite roadproof and was taken from gig to gig by many a DJ. The times are changing, however, and more and more DJs take their DJ MIDI controller along with them in a bag. This gives a bigger chance of it getting damaged, making a robust casing a must! This is why the ESI Maya44+ is equipped with a durable aluminium casing with the connectors at both sides. The smoothly finished design looks very crisp.
Connectors and Indicators of the Audio Interface
The concept of the ESI Maya44+ is similar to that of its predecessor. 4 RCA inputs, 4 RCA outputs, an optical output via 3.5mm jack that can also be used as a headphone output. There are indication LEDs per input and output, making the connected channels instantly visible on the interface. This means that you will be able to track down connectivity problems in no time!

Ik heb deze audio-interface gekocht om te gebruiken bij het open source programma Mixxx. Het installeren liep niet zoals het hoort. Bijgeleverde driver, downloaden laatste versie driver, laatste versie driver voor win7, ik kreeg het toestel niet aan de praat. Uiteindelijk alle drivers verwijderd en windows 7 standaard drivers gebruikt. Dan even met de instellingen knoeien maar... nu werkt het toestel in combinatie met Mixxx perfect.

Echter de geluidskaart is een drama.
Ik heb dezelfde ervaringen als mensen hier onder.
Kaart gekocht om dvs in traktor te draaien, dit gaat goed voor ca 3 tracks daarna of geen geluid krakend geluid of traktor crasht. Zowel op een macbook pro M2 2023 als op een microsoft surface als op een normale desktop pc met win10 dit zelfde probleem.
Nu een pioneer rekordbox interface gekocht en dit werkt prima met rekordbox zowel traktor! Conclusie beter even doorsparen dus!

Deze ESI-MAYA44 USB+ aangekocht ter vervanging van mijn Numark Dj|io. Deze gaf na 10 jaar problemen.
De eerste indruk was heel goed. Installatie verliep probleemloos.
Laatste driver van ESI geïnstalleerd.
Na een paar testen, begonnen de problemen. Apparaat werd gezien door Windows/software maar geen of heel zacht geluid.
Contact gezocht met ESI-support. Deze gaven wat tips.
Maakte echter geen verschil.
Test uitgevoerd op verschillende computers. Zelfde resultaat. Instabiel. Niet betrouwbaar.
Nogmaals contact gezocht met ESI-support. Geen antwoord meer.
Contact gezocht met Bax-Shop. Prima service
Apparaat onder bedenktijd retour gezonden.

Ik werk met het fantastische Kyma systeem en deze USB interface werkt. Dit maakt deze ASI Maya44 een zeer handig als minimal setup met goede kwaliteit voor ambisonic en quad audio.

Voor Jan Spooren en anderen; maak op je MacBook in de audio sectie een Aggregate Soundcard aan en hang daar alle geluidskaarten aan die je maar wil. Ze zijn dan allemaal te gebruiken als je die aggregate card selecteert als geluidsbron.
Te vinden in MacBook Finder onder de tab Go / Utilities -> Audio Midi setup.

Prijs/kwaliteit is uitstekend. Geluidskwaliteit steekt ver boven de gemiddelde 44.1KHz kaart uit. 48KHz maakt een enorm verschil. Wordt gebruikt op een MacBook, aansluiting probleemloos, geen driver installatie nodig.
Een enkele keer verliest de MacBook het contact met de Maya maar een simpele reset van de Maya verhelpt dat probleem.
All in all een prima aanschaf voor de prijs.

Prima, stevige externe geluidskaart. Ik had hem nodig, omdat Mixvibes Cross DJ op de Mac om te cue-en geen twee verschillende geluidskaarten kan gebruiken, maar dus een geluidskaart nodig heeft met ten minste twee stereo (4 dus) output channels. Deze kaart kan daar prima voor gebruikt worden. Weliswaar zit de headphones output op channels 1 en 2, en moet je dus in de Cross DJ settings onder 'Audio' als Output 1 de 'Output 3 / Output 4' van de Maya44 selecteren, en als Output 2 (cueing), de 'Output 1 / Output 2' van de Maya44.
Klein minpuntje misschien (waardoor ik maar 4 sterren geef) dat er geen volumeregeling op de headphones jack zit. Die staat dus standaard loei-hard. Je moet dus in Cross DJ rechts bovenaan het Cue volume serieus dichtdraaien. Heeft dan weer wel als voordeel dat je alvast geen potentiometer-gekraak krijgt.

Hij doet het prima ook nog een mooie stevige behuizing
Ik heb hem net aangesloten met Traktor pro 2 en hij doe het prima.
het is wel even werk met instellen van dat alles maar dan heb je ook wat kwaliteit van het geluid is ook goed

Apparaat voldoet prima. Stevige behuizing en aansluitingen. Gratis meegeleverd deckadance le software. Installatie / registratie hiervan wel omslachtig, maar eenmaal draaiende werkt het prima. Aanrader dus.
