it works fine. however, i wasn't aware that it only comes with one volume control knob. so if your headphones and monitors are connected, you will hear the music on both devices and the volume control knob will turn down the headphones only, not the monitors. luckily enough, my monitors have their own volume control on them (mackie set of 2). slightly disappointing. you get what you pay for i guess

Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface

Seems to work well with my laptop. It allows for a mic and an instrument to be plugged in simultaneously and also has some nice software which is downloadable of the Focusrite website after purchase. I recommend this product for beginners trying to get into audio production.
