The extremely robust Presonus Audiobox iOne USB sound card is compatible with PC/Mac/iPad, and features a class A microphone preamp and a very powerful headphone output. The XLR, jack input, and two jack outputs make it extremely well-suited to connect, for instance, a microphone and a guitar. Presonus is known for their high-quality products, and you can expect nothing but the best regarding the sound quality of this class A microphone preamp. In comparison to the commonly used AB type, the Audiobox iOne delivers a more pure and transparent sound. The interface also features high-quality A/D and D/A converters, responsible for creating a wide dynamic range of 105 dB, and allow you to make 24 bit/96 kHz recordings.
The AudioBox iOne: Recording
The extremely compact Audiobox iOne is compatible with every recording setup of PC, Mac or iPad. The USB is used to transfer signals from, for instance, your dynamic condensator microphone to a DAW. Use the gain controls to adjust the input levels of the separate channels. Get started right away, with the included and user-friendly Studio One Artist including instruments, plugins, loops and sounds. In case you want to use it in combination with your iPad, go with the free Capture Duo, or the extremely affordable Capture multitrack app. Both apps can be used to send complete songs to Studio One on a PC or Mac for further editing via a wireless connection.
Powerful Extras
When recording, you want to make sure you hear yourself, as well as any backing track, loud and clear. For this purpose, the iOne features a headphone output that gives a remarkable powerful and crystal-clear output. You're also able to monitor the sound without any delay due to the built-in mixer. Seul petit reproche : Les potentiomètres, et surtout le gros bouton de volume, sont trop près les uns des autres. Alors à moins d'avoir des mains d'une fillette de huit ans, je ne trouve pas cela très pratique. Un boitier un peu plus grand permettant plus d'espace entre les boutons serait une bonne chose. L'idéal serait bien sûr que Presonus revoit le design, et fasse des boitiers du genre M-Audio M-Track, avec les boutons au-dessus. Bien plus pratique quand le boitier est posé sur le bureau.

Levering was snel en goed verzorgd, verpakking was goed.
Gekocht omdat mijn audio ingang op de laptop niet meer goed werkt, een kleine usb geluidskaart gekocht maar is niet stabiel genoeg als het aangesloten is op de laptop.
Deze externe geluidskaart is stabiel, koptelefoon blijft goed zitten en mooi geluid. Binnen kort 2 studio monitoren aanschaffen om naar muziek te luisteren zonder koptelefoon.

Aangeschaft voor online (COVID 19 quarantaine) repetities middels JamKazam en om opnames te kunnen maken.
Gebruik het met microfoon en basgitaar.
Geweldig product.
Plus:

- Plug & play op pc/mac/ipad
- Degelijk gebouwd
- Knoppen voelen degelijk aan
- Audio kwaliteit is gewoon goed.
- Portable
- Geleverde software (op de site van presonus te downloaden) is geweldig
- Direct aan te sluiten op Ipad.
Min:
- Let op bij actieve instrumenten! Gaat heel snel clippen. Heb hiervoor een passieve DI box aangeschaft.
Zeer tevreden na een aantal online repetities en opnames gedaan te hebben.
Voor de prijs een uitstekende audio interface.

Pluspunten:
- Levert uitstekende audio kwaliteit, zowel naar de uitgangen als de ingangen.
- Hoofdtelefoonversterker aanwezig in deze interface voldoet boven verwachting. Of deze een 250 ohm hoofdtelefoon aan kan sturen durf ik niet te zeggen, maar deze is behoorlijk krachtig.
- Erg portable, het grote voordeel is dat deze interface ook gewoon op de ipad aangesloten kan worden en hij is idd zo klein dat deze makkelijk in de tas past.
- Gebalanceerde monitoruitgangen.
- Degelijke constructie.
- Snelle installatie, inpluggen en hij is al te gebruiken
- Software en driver installatie verliep probleemloos, installeren van de software, drivers kiezen en daarna nog een firmware update uitgevoerd, dit alles ging erg makkelijk.
- Werkt in meerdere DAWs, in mijn geval Studio One 4 en FL Studio 20.
- Geleverde software en plugins zijn meer dan uitstekend.
Minpunten:
- Had wat mij betreft ook ongebalanceerde uitgangen mogen hebben, bovenop de gebalanceerde. Niet alle, vooral goedkopere monitorsets, beschikken over gebalanceerde ingangen.
- Ondanks dat dit een instapmodel is, mis ik toch een beetje een mix knop waarmee ik zelf kan kiezen tussen de mix van de opname en het geluid van mijn DAW.
Al met al ben ik zeer tevreden over deze audio interface en heeft gelijk zijn diensten al bewezen.
