If you work with a Mac, you might want to take a look at the Universal Audio Apollo Twin DUO Thunderbolt audio interface. This high-quality product has specs that anyone would be proud of! With its 24-bit/192kHz conversion you are completely up to date! As a UAD-2 DUO processor takes care of all the calculations, and latency is prevented thanks to the Thunderbolt connector, the signals are transferred smoothly between your Mac and the interface.

Options of the Apollo Twin

This ergonomically shaped desktop model features two mic/line preamps, a Hi-Z input for instruments, and four line outputs. A headphone connector is provided, as well as an optical connector for another eight digital inputs. On the (clearly laid out) operating panel, you can easily adjust parameters for low cut, phantom power and phase invert.

Software

The UAD plugin bundle Realtime Analog Classics is included in delivery. It contains Legacy editions of the LA-2A Classic Audio Leveler, 1176LM Limiting Amplifier and Pultec EQP-1A Program Equalizer, as well as Softube Amp Room Essentials. These plugins can be used on any (MAC) DAW via AU, VST, RTAS and AAX64. In other words: you can record your audio source's sound in high quality without latency, while using great-sounding UAD plugins. The Apollo Twin takes care of all the calculations (instead of your Mac), so you can focus on the creative side of the process.
