General
The Presonus Quantum 2626 Thunderbolt 3 audio interface is definitely designed for one goal: unbelievable speed without compromise, packed into a tight 19-inch 1U rack unit. The latency of this interface manages to duck under 1ms at 192kHz and the buffer meets 64 samples while the 115dB dynamic range and set of XMAX preamplifiers ensure clean and transparent audio. The Quantum 2626 also comes with optical ADAT in and out and an S/PDIF input, meaning that this beast is essentially capable of managing 26 incoming and outgoing simultaneous signals. SMUX support opens up four channel signals in 24-bit, 96kHz or two channels in 192kHz via the same optical cable over ADAT while, with the included Presonus UC Surface control software for both Mac and PC, access is granted to all signal meters and the UC Surface integrated Real-Time Analyzer (RTA) for ultimate monitor control. To finish, a BNC word clock in and out provides accurate synchronisation between all connected digital equipment.

If you're a future-thinking guitarist, then you've probably already heard of Ampire. This meaty slice of software bundles a mass of virtual amplifiers, virtual cabinets, and virtual stompboxes up into one tight package and backs it all up with the best possible quality, courtesy of Presonus. And, to add a little warmth to the unseasonable Summer weather we've been having, for a limited time, this software package will be been thrown in free with many Presonus titles.
