The 18 x 24 Thunderbolt configured Universal Audio Apollo X8 Gen 2 Audio Interface has been designed to kit out professional recording and project studios with nothing but world-leading audio quality. Equipped with four Unison™ microphone preamps and elite-class Apollo X Gen 2 audio conversion, this interface captures and plays back audio in the highest resolution you can get, making it an essential hub for both mixing and recording multi-channel audio. Access to over 200 UAD DSP and Native plugins comes included, so you can process your work with the help of widgets designed by some of the biggest names in the game, including Neve and Auto Tune.
Astounding In-Hardware Effect Processing
One of the most impressive features of the Apollo X8 is the HEXA Core DSP processing, which supports the use of complex plugin chains without taxing the computer you're working with. This advanced hybrid system means that larger projects and sessions can be managed effortlessly and without interruption. The on-board Auto-Gain function is another useful tool that sets the level of multiple inputs for you, while Apollo Monitor Correction can be applied to guarantee the accurate and honest audio image that's crucial for the mixing phase.
Record & Monitor with Authentic Vintage Preamps & EQs
The Apollo X8 is able to coat everything in authentic analogue sound in real-time, so you can record with the warm tonality of classic emulated preamps built by names like Neve and APL. With the help of a Bass Management function, this interface also supports 7.1 surround sound, boosting the flexibility whether working with standard or immersive audio projects. As your studio grows, so can the interface, since the Apollo X8 can be expanded by coupling multiple Thunderbolt Apollo interfaces, adding up to 128 premium channels and multiplying the DSP power.
