One of the tough things about being a kid is that you have to wait to start playing an instrument because you're still too small. With the flute, for instance, children's arm are often not yet long enough to reach the full length of the instrument. That doesn't have to be a problem though if you have a flute with a curved head joint, as it shortens the distance between the mouth and the keys. The WS-FL221S comes with both a curved head joint and a straight one, so once the musician's arms are longer, he or she can switch them out!
