General
Yamaha has brought its popular travel guitar from the '90s back to life in the form of the APX T2. This little guitar is a purebred APX electro-acoustic western guitar and the ideal travel solution for musicians on the road. It's also handy for buskers or even just jamming at home with your friends on the couch. To make this guitar even easier to take with you it comes with a sturdy gig bag. This Dark Red Burst finish is one of four available colours from the 2012 Yamaha APXT2 model.
Quality of the Yamaha APX T2 Dark Red Burst
The Yamaha APX is characterised by it curvy shape, slim waist and oval sound hole. The APX T2 has all of those characteristics, just on a smaller scale! High-quality materials were used for the construction, such as spruce for the top and meranti for the sides and back. The mahogany neck is secured to the body via the dovetail binding method and is equipped with a 21-fret rosewood fretboard with a 43mm nut width. The APX wouldn't be complete without a large cutaway, and neither is its smaller counterpart!
Electronics
The APXT2 is equipped with a new pickup system based on Yamaha's ART (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) contact piezo. This is mounted to the top under the bridge, so the pure acoustic sound is naturally and optimally picked up. Additionally, the guitar features a built-in preamplifier: the Yamaha System68. This can be found on the side of the body and is equipped with volume and tone control. Yamaha has also built in a tuner for improved accuracy.

J'adore cette petite guitare !! J'ai une Martin, une Gibson, une Fender, et pourtant je m'éclate avec cette petite guitare toute simple. La sonorité forcément est en deça d'une Martin ou même d'une dreadnought vu la taille de la guitare, mais ceci étant dit cela reste largement suffisant pour chanter avec et animer une soirée au coin du feu ou à la plage.
Pour s'entrainer c'est génial aussi car comme elle est vraiment petite, c'est très facile de la jouer dans un canapé, dans un fauteuil, debout, assis...tout lui va.
Elle est vraiment petite par contre, faut le savoir à la commande, je m'y attendais et j'ai quand même été surpris de la taille. A coté de ma Les Paul, son corps me semble un poil moins large, et à peine plus épais. Le diapason (longueur des cordes) est beaucoup plus court, même que la Martin Dreadnought Junior que je possède. Cela la rend facile à jouer, y compris sur les bends. Entre le 'cutaway" et le diapason court, cette guitare adore les solos, et je lui trouve une très très belle sonorité sur les 3 cordes du bas, où la taille de la caisse se fait moins ressentir.
L'accordeur intégré est très pratique, mais je n'ai pas testé l'ampli intégré. Tout le monde dit qu'il est de très bonne facture.
Bref, j'adore cette guitare.
Comme d'hab, 5/5 aussi pour Bax Shop, guitare annoncée en livraison à j+2 et livraison conforme.

Heb lang getwijfeld om een travel gitaar aan te schaffen. Deze Yamaha gaf goede reviews maar toch met wat kritisch oog deze online besteld. Ik moet zeggen dat ik aangenaam verrast was. Hij klinkt wel degelijk goed en ingeplugd nog beter. Eerlijk gezegd neem ik deze nu zelfs sneller dan mijn andere gitaren. Lekker chil hangend in de zetel zonder gedoe met te grote klankkast. Deze Yamaha travel gitaar is zeker een aanrader, zelf voor kinderen een heerlijk instrument om op te leren spelen. Voor bax music kan ik er nog aan toevoegen dat ik zeer tevreden ben over de levertijd en de nette degelijke verpakking. Ik kon bijna zeggen vandaag besteld morgen in huis.

Got this for my wife and the size is perfect for her. The built -in tuner is a good bonus. The guitar is very good in term of the build and quality. The sound is also good and is better if connected to an amplifier.

Petite Guitare superbe, si légère et au bois si fin qu'elle donne une impression de fragilité. C'est clair que ce n'est pas un jouet pour enfant. C'est pourtant LE cadeau de Noël de ma fille qui est en age d'en prendre soin ! La possibilité de la brancher sur un ampli (la guitare, pas ma fille) lui donne une double personnalité et permet plus de jeu et de créativité dans l’interprétation. Je recommande.

Prettige gitaar, inderdaad erg klein - maar dat was al duidelijk gemaakt in de diverse reviews. Makkelijk over naar toe te nemen. Ik ben onder de indruk van de kwaliteit van de Yamaha voor deze prijs.
Naast reisgitaar heb ik hem ook gekocht voor mijn kinderen, ze hebben nu al wat eerste gitaar ervaring op kunnen doen!

Aangenaam verrast door deze gitaar. Ik schrok van het kleine formaat toen de gitaar geleverd werd. Maar Ondanks de kleine klankkast heeft deze gitaar een heel aardig geluid, al kun je dit niet vergelijken met een volwassen model. Vooral versterkt klinkt hij verrassend goed, helder en mooi vol.
Zo uit de doos alleen even hoeven stemmen en ook dat is opmerkelijk. In tegenstelling tot veel vergelijkbare gitaren blijft de gitaar goed gestemd en is de intonatie ook prima. Wanneer je op diverse test kijkt, kom je genoeg gitaren tegen die (onversterkt) beter klinken maar dan betaal je ook het dubbele tot drievoudige. Ik kocht deze gitaar voor mijn dochtertje maar ik denk dat ik er zelf ook veel plezier van zal hebben.
Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is uitstekend. Een mooie gitaar om kinderen kennis te laten maken met het gitaar spelen en deze gaat zeker ook mee op reis.

Was al een tijdje op zoek naar een handzaam gitaartje. Één die ik makkelijk mee op reis kan nemen. Inmiddels heeft ie zijn eerste reis achter de rug. Heel veel plezier mee gehad. Zowel met of zonder versterker een prima geluid. Ook t uiterlijk en kleur erg mooi.
Bax shop heeft t inderdaad waargemaakt. Voor 21.00 uur besteld de volgende dag in huis.

Ik heb al een aantal kleine reis gitaren uitgeprobeerd maar ondervind steeds intonatie problemen bij de noten verder op de hals.
Deze Yamaha APX T2 blijft daar heel zuiver. Ik ben heel tevreden van de klank kwaliteit van deze gitaar. Onversterkt is ze niet heel luid maar wel zuiver. Dat maakt ze ook perfect om thuis te spelen zonder de buren te storen. Eens je deze gitaar dan op een versterker aansluit klinkt ze heel volwassen en heb je zelfs door de kleine kast geen last van feedback. Perfect dus om mee te nemen naar de oefen ruimte of op reis.
De service van Bax shop was hierbij super. ik bestelde de gitaar om 21u45 en ontving deze al de dag nadien op de middag. super snel gewoon.

Na lang overwogen te hebben welk nieuw gitaar ik zou nemen is mijn keus op deze kleine Yamaha gevallen....en ik heb er geen spijt van.
Voor mij is hij fantastisch :lekker klein,licht van gewicht,een mooie kleur kast met een prachtige klank.
Voor de rest heel veel lof voor de snelle bezorging van Bax-shop.
