General
The MP AH White S mouthpiece was developed by Yamaha in collaboration with Sheona White and has a larger, deeper cup. In combination with a slightly narrower backbore, this produces a powerful sound that clearly sings out above the rest in a brass band.
The Signature series
As an instrument manufacturer it's good to stay informed by the leading musicians, and that's why Yamaha consults with world-class musicians when developing their products. This collaboration is interesting for the musician in question too, because at the end of their hard work they are rewarded with an instrument specifically designed to suit their preferences and needs. In short, the Signature series is full of special mouthpieces named after the famous musicians involved in their creation.
Sheona White
Tenor horn player Sheona White is a soloist in the famous Black Dyke Band, one of the oldest and most famous brass bands in the world whose prizes and accolades are numerous. Sheona's contribution to the 1997 hit single "Perfect Day" is her most famous achievement known by the general public. Along with playing, she has taught horn at the university of Salford and she is currently a high school music teacher.
