The MXR M296 Classic 108 Fuzz Mini is a compact effects pedal that gives you the same vintage fuzz sounds as its larger namesake. It's equipped with a silicon BC-108 transistor for a delightfully dirty crunch! It's easy to use as well with just two controls for output and fuzz. There's also a buffer switch that you can use when you want to pair it with wah effects.

In het verleden de Dunlop ffm3 (Hendrix fuzz) gehad, prima pedaal, maar door te weinig gebruik toch maar ingeruild. Later Fender The Pelt fuzz aangeschaft, met veel klankmogelijkheden, zeker niet verkeerd, maar voor mij was het hem toch niet echt en heb ook deze toen ingeruild.
Maar toch miste ik het ffm3 fuzzgeluid! En toen kwam daar de MXR Classic 108 fuzz mini in beeld, met nb hetzelfde binnenwerk als de ffm3 fuzz EN mèt een extra bufferknop!
Fantastisch gewoon. Het geluid is precies hèt bekende fuzz-geluid (JH), en mèt extra instellingen. De bufferknop uit, het romige, zwaardere fuzzgeluid. De bufferknop aan, voegt een wat hogere frequentie toe, zeg maar meer definitie! En in samenspel met de wah, neemt de bufferknop alle evt geluidsproblemen weg (ik gebruik overigens net als JH, de MXR fuzz voor de wah)! Kortom dit is een pracht fuzz!
