The Collision Devices TARS - AKA 'This Audio Reached Singularity' - takes the Singularity fuzz section of the Black Hole Symmetry and teams it up with an MS-20-style filter to build formidable, fuzzy walls of sound. This hulk of a stompbox supplies a mass of output customising controls: tweak the Gain and Master pots to set the distortion level and effect volume and, if you do happen to need even more fuzz, just hit the Add Fuzz switch.

The Collision Devices TARS: Defy the Laws of Fuzz

Via the Res and Cut-off faders, your self-made fuzz tapestry can be shaped and mixed to taste while extra controls for adding colour to the output are provided by an LPF mini-pot, which sets the filter volume, and the 2P/4P mini-switch, which can be flipped to weaken the signal by -12 or -24 decibels as needed. The S/P switch on the left toggles the position of the filter and fuzz from parallel to series where, in series, the fuzz is sent through the filter and, by hooking up an external expression pedal, you can even gain full hands-off, real-time control over the Cut-Off. This Collision Devices fuzz-bomb can be coupled with an electric guitar, a bass, a synthesizer, or maybe even a drum machine.
