The SolidGoldFX Fuzzbox is a Tone Bender Mk II-inspired silicon fuzz for guitarists who love raw British rock sounds, but in a pedalboard-friendly design. Thanks to the low-gain silicon transistors, you get an articulate, gnarly grind with thick sustain, whilst chords remain surprisingly clear. Using your guitar’s volume knob, you can dynamically shape the sound without it feeling ‘disconnected’ from your playing. The compact 125B format with top-mounted inputs and outputs also keeps your setup tidy and space-saving.

Made for modern pedalboards

Whilst many vintage fuzz pedals struggle with buffers or wahs, the Fuzzbox offers a practical Vintage/Modern toggle switch with two distinct input responses. Vintage gives you that unfiltered Mk II attitude; Modern adds low-end and works seamlessly with wah pedals, buffers and modern pedalboards. With ‘Bias’, you can adjust the operating point of the third transistor for a tighter or, conversely, a softer feel, and with ‘Sag’, you can simulate a dying battery by roughly dropping the voltage from 9V to 5V.
