This Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gong is traditionally handmade in China. A special bronze alloy is used for this purpose. The wind gong, also known as 'Feng' or 'Sun Gong', has a diameter of 20 inches and its surface is almost flat. A low, wide-bearing sound is what you can expect from this fine instrument. When struck hard, the sound gets more and more 'sizzle' and higher overtones. Every gong needs a specific beater to get the best possible sound, which is why a beater made especially for this model is included.
