The Schlagwerk IG204 Infinity Gong Earth Harmony is a sound instrument that resonates at 204.1 Hz: the frequency associated with the Earth’s orbital year. Upon striking it, you first hear the fundamental tone with a rich spectrum of overtones, but these overtones quickly fade away, leaving the fundamental tone to become increasingly prominent. The sound then gradually begins to ‘pulse’, creating a particularly spacious and soothing listening experience. This makes the Infinity Gong ideal for meditation, sound healing and (music) therapy applications.

Earthly resonance: 204.1 Hz

The 204.1 Hz tuning is often used to support a harmonising, stimulating and balancing effect on the body and the energy centres (chakras). Musically speaking, this frequency is a perfect fifth above the OM tone (136.1 Hz). If you play the IG204 together with an Infinity Gong Earth/Om (136.1 Hz), the result is a combination renowned for its calming, balancing and harmonising qualities. Construction, finish and use

Schlagwerk constructs this Infinity Gong with a brushed aluminium sound tube, combined with smoked and oiled oak for a high-quality, natural appearance. The natural felt feet ensure stable placement and help to minimise unwanted resonances transmitted through the surface. Measuring approximately 153 cm in length, this is a striking instrument that makes an impression not only aurally but also visually in a studio, practice room or meditation corner.
