The IG210 Infinity Gong Moon resonates at 210.4 Hz: a frequency associated with the Moon. When struck, you first hear the fundamental tone with a rich spectrum of overtones. However, these overtones quickly fade, after which the fundamental tone takes over and gradually begins to pulsate. This makes this gong ideal for meditation, sound healing and (music) therapy, where a stable, long-lasting tone is often desired. With the included MA106 mallet, you can get started straight away, experimenting with different striking intensities and dynamics.

Moon tone: peace and harmony

The Moon tone is known for its relaxing, harmonising and calming nature. During a session, the sound helps you to turn your attention inwards and release tension, whilst the pulsation can provide a subtle ‘supportive’ sensation. This makes the IG210 an excellent choice for individual meditation, as well as for therapeutic settings where you work with layers of sound. Thanks to its clear fundamental tone, it also integrates well with other instruments or sound sources, without the overall sound becoming too busy.

In combination with the Infinity Gong Sun

When you use the IG210 together with the Infinity Gong Sun, the combination is used to support an energetic balance between activity (Sun) and stillness/emotion (Moon). In practice, this can assist with transitions between different states, such as from tension to relaxation. For example, you could start with a more energising sound and then conclude with the Moon energy to ground yourself. The IG210 is also a fully-fledged instrument on its own, but as a duo with the Sun, it creates an exceptionally broad sound palette for guided sessions.
