General

Built from scratch to deliver modern high-gain sound and a stack of overdriven voicings as well as squeaky cleans, the 50 Watt Revv Generator G50 is a rock and metal all-rounder. Reading like a unique take on that classic hot-rodded, high-gain guitar sound, this compact monster is home to four 12AX7 preamp valves and two EL34 power amp valves, based on the same design as the renowned Revv Purple Channel, so you can expect powerful and intense output supported by increased tightness - all without having to add an extra distortion pedal to the mix. Besides the ultra-contemporary sonic foundation, the Generator also gets extra points for its extra-low and gig-friendly weight.

The Revv Generator G50: A Tonal Panorama

With this Revv-designed, Canadian-built amp head, you're treated to a dynamic and exhaustive panorama of guitar sounds. Two sublime channels are on offer, where the Blue channel spoons out stunning cleans balanced by a light coating of compression, and the Green channel spits full and rich output that can be dialled up from a light distortion to a super-solid crunch at will. Basically, the Generator G50 lays down a base-sound that can already get extreme.

Full Control

The innovative details don't stop there. Two Notes Torpedo DynIR Virtual Cabinet technology comes built-in and ready to go and a set of direct stereo outputs have also been fitted on the back panel, meaning that you're free to perform and record without even needing a speaker cabinet. A mass of switching options are also supplied as well as a buffered effects loop to accommodate your pedalboard; an attenuator that's able to take the output down to a more sensible 10 Watts when needed; and a tasty built-in digital reverb and tight noise gate. The scope may be massive but the control section still manages to keep everything clear and precise, making this model the ideal sidekick for any metal and rock guitarists who demand a grotesque amount of range from one neat box.
