String Walker is a book with simple pieces of music that are suited for absolute beginners. However, String Walker offers no explanation on how to play guitar, as it is meant to complement the Guitar Starter teaching method. Guitar Starter, also written by Cees Hartog, does provide instructions with the exercises and contains actual lessons. This book of 42 easy guitar pieces simply offers beginner guitarists additional practice material for some more variation.
