The analogue circuitry in the Zuma offers double isolation while each of the nine output channels are individually isolated from the 24V DC output, the 24V is isolated from the AC power, and a double power regulator is also fitted. All of these meticulous details are aimed at preventing ground loops and eliminating any other unwanted noise commonly associated with using AC power. It's worth noting that many effects pedals are designed to be battery-operated simply because batteries don't produce this unwanted ground hum or noise.
