A guitar tremolo bridge is controlled via a tremolo arm - also known as a whammy bar, and without the tremolo arm, you might as well have a normal fixed bridge. If you push your tremolo arm to extremes then the screw thread can get worn out over time - or even worse - you get home from a gig and realise that your tremolo arm is missing in action. Luckily, you can find a replacement tremolo arm for virtually any tremolo bridge right here at Bax Music.
Electric Guitar Tremolo Arms
With the tremolo arm of a tremolo-bridge-fitted electric guitar you can perform everything from subtle vibrato effects to all-out dive-bombs. So if you need a replacement, then you'll find what you need in our range of tremolo arms, whether it's for a classic ST-style bridge or a Floyd Rose bridge. If you need a new arm for a really specific model and can't find it on our site, then feel free to fill in our Special Order Form and we'll contact our suppliers to see if we can hold of it for you.
Stratocaster & Super-Strat Tremolo Arms (Among Others)
Tremolo arms are definitely not one-size-fits all. They come in an array of difference shapes and sizes to fit an array of different tremolo bridges. In our range, you'll find spare arms for the two-point tremolo bridges of most Fenders and Squier Strats as well as arms for the high-spec bridges of Ibanez Super-Strats. Besides Strat-lovers, offset-fans are also provided for, so you'll also be able to find an arm to fit the bridge of your Jaguar or Jazzmaster.
Dive-Bomb-Worthy Floyd Rose Tremolo Arms
To support more extreme vibrato techniques like dive-bombs and pitch slides up and pitch slides down, we also have some complete Floyd Rose locking tremolo bridges available so you can give your axe an upgrade, and if the tremolo arm does mysteriously disappear, then we also have a range of Floyd Rose tremolo arms so you can find the one that fits your model.
Springs, Tips & Other Tremolo Arm Parts
If you need a small part to complete your tremolo arm, like a replacement tip or mounting hole spring, then we have those too. If you need other parts for your tremolo array, or want to upgrade or mod the setup, then have a look in our dedicated guitar bridge parts department or our complete replacement guitar bridge section.
Frequently Asked Questions About Tremolo Arms
How does a tremolo arm work?
If any electric guitar is fitted with a tremolo bridge, it can be tilted up by applying pressure to the tremolo arm. By tilting the bridge up, the tension of all the strings is reduced to smoothly lower the pitch and by slowly releasing the tremolo arm, the pitch slowly rises back up. Tremolo arms are usually screwed or clicked in place and moved up and down with the playing hand.
