The DiMarzio DP220BK D Activator Bridge has a rich, harmonic quality that makes the notes on your guitar want to sing. The sound is based on that of active humbuckers, but is designed to be less sterile. In this way, the D Activator Bridge delivers the best of both active and passive pickups. Because the D Activator Bridge is designed to go together with the D Activator Neck, it is recommended to use it in combination. The output of the bridge element is 25% louder than the output of the neck element. Therefore, with a DiMarzio D Activator set you are assured of a well-balanced sound with lots of possibilities.

High output

DiMarzio's D Activator Bridge is an element with a very high output. The two magnetic coils are both tuned to different frequencies. This ensures powerful, tight basses and a warm treble with extended harmonic overtones. The low end of the DiMarzio DP220BK D Activator is as tight and clear as that of the D Activator elements for seven- and eight-string guitars. The high frequencies are slightly warmer and therefore have a less sharp sound. This thick sound makes the D Activator pickups very suitable for playing the somewhat heavier styles of music.
