The Gibson 498T Hot Alnico bridge pickup turns its high output into massive mix-slicing power, extra sustain and fat, double-coil sound. Based on the 490T, this Gibson-made humbucker supports impacting solos as well as tight rhythm parts and, since it comes with a 4-conductor cable, can be set up in various ways, including in series and in parallel. It's also been wax-potted to counter feedback.
