The Seymour Duncan CA 50 SET California 50’s is a calibrated pickup set, designed to sound as authentic as possible. The set comprises three matched SSL-1 vintage staggered single-coil pickups, reproduced in the style of the 1950s with Alnico V magnets that deliver optimal country twang, blues phrasing and, where required, classic rock. The middle pickup is reverse-wound with reverse polarity (RWRP), which reduces hum when the pickups are combined. This delivers the characteristic chime and bell tones of the classic 1950s Strat sound, with a warm, low-output character that perfectly matches the original vintage specifications.
