The Gibson PPAT-520 Audio Taper Push-Pull Potentiometer has a 500 kOhm resistance and a split short-shaft design. It's designed for electric and semi-acoustic guitars fitted out with humbucking pickups. More specifically, it's cut out for models with a pickguard or a relatively shallow sound, like ST and TE-style guitars as well as electric archtops with pots mounted in a raised pickguard. While audio taper pots are usually used for volume knobs, this Gibson-made potentiometer can be also be installed if you're after speedy tone tweaks. When combined with four-conductor humbuckers, the push-pull design supports additional functionality like coil-splitting, coil-tapping and serial/parallel switching.
