General
The Positive Grid BIAS Rack Processor is a preamplifier in a practical 2U-sized housing with plenty of connection possibilities. The line out and MIDI connectors are handy for both live and studio use. There's also an FX loop so that you can connect your own effects pedals. For even more control over the sound, it's possible to add a separately-available expression pedal too. The type of sound, number of tube stages and amount of distortion can all be adjusted, making this unit extremely versatile.
Design your own sounds
Positive Grid has created a platform where an active online community of software and hardware users can interact. BIAS amp software is included that allows you to adjust your own amplifier in detail. It's also possible to download existing patches which means the sound of virtually any amp can be recreated. The ability to push the boundaries of everything from subtle, sparkling cleans to the most brutal overdrive should provide you with an excellent source of unlimited inspiration.
