General
The Antares ATG-1 is a floor processor from the Auto-Tune for Guitar system.Antares is well known for its Auto-Tune software, which is often used to correct vocal tracks. The ATG-1 including expression pedal, however, is designed to be used in combination with an electric guitar. One press of the pedal will tune your guitar in a flash. Next to that, there are a variety of tunings available, as well as convincing imitations of all kinds of guitar models, pickup settings, tone controls, gain preferences, whammy/volume effects, capo-use and string doubling.
ATG-1 Floor Processor and hex pickups
The only thing you need to use the ATG-1 is a so-called hex pickup like the Roland GK-3, which is sold separately and can be safely installed under the strings, near the bridge. You can also use it on an acoustic 6-string steel guitar, as long as there is room for it. Roland guitars that have 13-pin outputs are suitable for connecting with this Antares product. You can opt to use one (mono) of the ATG-1's 1/4”jack outputs or both (stereo) and connect the Foot Processor to your guitar amp or directly to the mixer.
String Tune and Solid Tune
One of the most remarkable functions Antares has incorporated in the ATG-1 Foot Processor is String Tune. By simply strumming all open strings and then pressing the String Tune foot switch, the pedal immediately compensates for strings that aren't in tune. Even though this happens digitally, it sounds completely natural. Then there's Solid Tune, which ensures every chord and every melody in every position on the neck are in key, making intonation problems a thing of the past. String bending is no problem even when this function is on.
Tunings and presets
With the technologically advanced Auto-Tune for Guitar Floor Processor, you'll never have to tune your guitar between songs again. Want to quickly drop down or switch to open tuning? No problemo. Turn on Alt Tuning and select the desired type. During a live performance, this needs to happen fast, which is why this product has a Preset mode. Choose from a selection of pre-defined setups using one of the foot pedals. The LCD display clearly shows the chosen setting or preset.
