General

NitorLACK Golden Age Clear is a plasticiser-free nitrocellulose clear lacquer in a 400 ml aerosol can, faithfully recreated to match the nitrocellulose lacquer used by Fender and Gibson in the 1960s. Due to its higher rigidity, this lacquer is less elastic, meaning that when used as a clear topcoat, you’ll achieve a natural, vintage look more quickly. The rapid evaporation and the ‘blending’ between coats result in a striking gloss, a thinner lacquer layer and, potentially, better vibration transfer from the wood. Over time, fine hairline cracks may develop.
