Sela SEHP203 Harmony Handpan D Kurd 9+3

General

The Sela SEHP203 Harmony Handpan D Kurd 9+3 is a completely handmade stainless steel handpan, perfectly tuned to 440 Hz. This instrument is ideal for beginners, as all the sound zones are set to a fixed scale, meaning you can never play a ‘wrong’ note. This allows you to play intuitively from the very first time and quickly lose yourself in atmospheric, drawn-out soundscapes.

Warm tone and professional finish

Stainless steel handpans have a longer sustain than nitrided steel models, making them particularly well-suited to calm, meditative playing. They are also easy to keep clean and respond quickly and sensitively, which makes playing easier for beginners. The matt gold finish gives this model a stylish, high-quality appearance.

D Kurd tuning with three bottom notes

The D Kurd tuning is one of the best-selling tunings and, with the central note D3 surrounded by A3, Bb3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4 and A4, offers a clear D minor scale. This model also features three additional bottom notes (C3, F3 and G3), resulting in a total of 12 sound fields. The C3 in particular, which lies below the fundamental note D3, creates interesting musical contrasts and offers additional playing possibilities.
