Most portable audio devices, like smartphones, have a limited output power. This signal might not be strong enough, especially when using high impedance headphones. If you feel this signal needs some amplification, the compact M-Audio Bass Traveler offers the solution! The Bass Traveler is an amplifier and splitter in one, that gives the signal a real boost, and will always give you a crystal-clear and powerful sound. The Bass Traveler is compatible with all headphones with an impedance between 16 and 100 ohms. Simply charge it using the included micro USB cable, and you'll be able to enjoy your music up to eight hours straight.
Using the Bass Traveler
Use the included 3.5 mm cable to connect the Bass Traveler to the audio output of your mobile device. This could be a smartphone, but also an MP3 player, tablet, or laptop. All you have to do now is decide whether to plug in one or two headphones, and enjoy the powerful sound. Use the switch on the front to determine volume boost settings: off, medium, or high. On the back you'll find a rotary button to turn the machine on and to adjust the volume. The M-Audio Bass Traveler comes with 3.5 mm and USB cable.
Tips or comments about this product- This headphone amplifier is compatible with most headphones with an in-line remote/microphone.

Qua Volume boost echter geen bevredigend resultaat om een iphone of ipad aan te sluiten op een bestaande stereo keten. Geen merkbaar volume verschil, de Apple toestellen blijven veel te stil t.o.v de andere toestellen die op de Hifi versterker zijn aangesloten (tuner/phone/cd speler).

Zoals verwacht heeft het meer effect op goedkopere hoofdtelefoons/earplug dan op duurdere hoofdtelefoons.
Kleine verschillen tussen FLAT-M-H instellingen, maar wel zeker "hoorbaar/merkbaar".
Een (riem) klip op de achterkant zou handig geweest zijn, maar een klein detail.
Goed product voor de prijs voor mensen die hun BASS een beetje wilt verhogen
