General
This is the Brown version of the Marshall Major II headphones. We've been waiting for a long time for the release of the MkII, it is a rare thing in audio land to sell a product for five years in a row without upgrading it at least once. Apparently Marshall, known for their superior amplifiers and high-end audio equipment, lived up to their reputation.
Features
On the outside, these headphones look about the same as their predecessor, apart from some subtle changes. The earpieces feature the characteristic logo in white, contrasting beautifully with the brown finish. Additionally, the headband is wrapped in vinyl and sports Mr. Marshall's signature. The Marshall Major II features a 3.5mm audio cable with in-line microphone that can be detached and plugged into both the right or left earpad. The other input can then be used to connect an additional set of headphones so you can enjoy your favourite music with someone else.
Improvements
Even though the changes made to the second version of the Major aren't immediately noticeable at first glance, they are very effective. For instance, the new headband is a lot more flexible and comfortable and fitted with new hinges for a more accurate adjustment. As we may expect from Marshall, their sound quality is nothing short of excellent.
