The expressive Roland FD-8 hi-hat controller enables you to create an audible difference between an open and a closed hi-hat with smooth (stepless) transitions. Combine the Roland FD-8 pedal with a digital cymbal such as the CY-8, and you have created a full-fledged, electronic equivalent of an acoustic hi-hat. The FD-8 can be connected to the hi-hat control input of your Roland drum module (TD series, SPD-S, SPD-20 or HPD-15). The angle of the plate and the tension can be adjusted to your preferences.
