Feeding your speakers too much power can can result in a torn cone surround. If you own professional speakers and you want to protect them, it's wise to use a recone kit to replace the surround. Some recone kits contain other components as well, such as a new cone or a replacement dust cover. Also be sure to check out the category diaphragms & membranes.
