General
This kalimba is made of rubberwood and it has nine steel tines of different lengths - giving them each a different key - which you play with your thumbs (hence the name thumb piano). The Meinl KA9-M in a natural finish has an ergonomic shape and extra-wide tines for added playing comfort. The pressure bar is made of durable chrome-plated steel.

Un peu trop basique à mon goût. Je n'aime pas trop sa sonorité. Je ne l'ai pas conservée. Je l'ai revendue pour m'acheter deux kalimbas differentes avec caisse de résonnance (une en Do Majeur et une en La Mineur)

Fijn en licht kastje. Ten opzichte van de 7 tong versie, voelt deze met 9 tongen minder gelimiteerd maar het blijft natuurlijk een mini model.
Het enige nadeel is dat ie er niet in het zwart is.

Een heerlijk instrument. Ik gebruik hem zelf in de klas. De kinderen -en ik- worden er heel rustig van. Het leuke is dat als je hem ergens oplegt, het geluid harder wordt.

Wat een fantastisch leuk dingetje is dit! Iedereen die het ziet stelt er een vraag over aan mij, het geluid is voor de meesten erg verrassend. Het geluid wordt extra versterkt als er een klankkast onder ligt, dus ik heb hem een keer gebruikt op mijn akoestische gitaar aangesloten op een versterker voor een groter geluid! Erg fijn instrumentje om mee te spelen.
