General
The Leslie 3300WP has a built-in amplifier with a power output of 300 watts RMS. A vacuum tube takes care of the preamplification and adds warmth and character, while a powerful horn driver and a 15-inch woofer deliver the sound in all its glory.
Leslie 3300WP: two rotors
The 3300WP has a 2-way rotor system with a horn and drum for authentic rotary sounds. The large Eminence woofer is responsible for the fundamental sound and punchy low tones, while the horn driver takes care of the trebles and ensures the typical Leslie sound with plenty of 'shred'. Both the horn and the drum are equipped with charcoal brushed DC servo motors that control the rise and fall of the rotor. They're individually adjustable which means the Rise Time, Fall Time, Slow Speed and Fast Speed can be adjusted on both separately.
Tube amplifier
The Leslie 3300WP rotary speaker also features a 12AX7 tube in the preamp to add the right amounts of warmth and shred to the overall sound. Using the rotary knobs, you can control the intensity of the tube's sound, ranging from subtle to raw to overdrive. You can connect just about every keyboard instrument, synth or electric guitar to this speaker by means of the jack input or the available 8 and 11-pin Leslie connectors. So, if you want the powerful characteristics of the original Leslie 971 in a compact, portable package that's built to last, then the Hammond Leslie 3300WP fits the bill!
