General
Slimmed-down versions of moving heads are growing ever more popular. Not just because they are getting cheaper, but also because more and more technology can be fitted in a small housing. Thanks to LED, there is no more need for space-consuming power adapters and powerful fans. The Inno Color Beam 12 features twelve 3-watt CREE LEDs and has a beam angle of 15 degrees, which is more than enough power to make itself seen as a beam moving head. This fixture adds an interesting moving light to your show at a small price.
Technology of the Inno Color Beam 12
The Inno Color Beam 12 shares quite a few features with its bigger brother. The lightly countersunk LEDs produce very low diffusion, adding to the clarity of the beam. The LEDs are red, green, blue and white, and can combine to create pastel colours (like pink) with a proper intensity. High-quality stepper motors with micro-stepping technology allow for smooth, graceful motions, and can also move very quickly when desired. Thanks to its compact size, this moving head is very manageable and can be easily transported with several of its siblings in a single flightcase.
Operating and installing the Inno Color Beam 12
The Inno Color Beam 12's operation can be as elaborate or simple as you want it to be, thanks in part to the music-controlled and master/slave modes. Naturally, you can also control this fixture via DMX, with 9 or 16 channels depending on the application. Various practical colour macros can easily be summoned, but custom RGBW colour blending is also possible. Place the moving head on a vertical truss or fly it from a truss construction with a common G hook or half coupler.
