American DJ's Flash Kling Panel 64 can be used for different purposes. You can use it as decoration, as a wash to light up surfaces, but also to create low-resolution screens. The latter is possible when you use multiple fixtures and the right kind of software. This results in a powerful light effect that can even be used in larger productions. The Flash Kling Panel 64 can also be controlled via DMX, using the RJ45 ArtNet connector.

Wrote the following about American DJ Flash Kling Panel 64 LED pixel panel
Ben gaan testen met twee stuks, daarna met vier stuks. Ik heb het idee dat de communicatie niet erg lekker loopt in de ingebouwde systemen. Getest met twee verschillende laptops, verschillende videokaarten, verschillende netwerkkaarten en verschillende switches en routers.
De erg prijzige software (in dit geval DMT VisionExpress) wil wel, maar de netwerk verbindingen zijn alles behalve stabiel. Ongeacht welke bovengenoemde configuratie ik ook gebruik.
Ik adviseer persoonlijk dan ook om (nog) niet volle bak op deze hardware over te stappen totdat je goed hebt getest! Ikzelf heb het nog niet een gehele avond probleemloos kunnen gebruiken.
Ook gebruik ik een DJ Controller op mijn notebook waarmee ik draai, maar ook mijn panelen wil aansturen. Dit is geen optie. De KlingNet software klapt eruit zodra je de DJ controller aanzet. De KlingNet software wil zelf OOK de controle over de audio en dat gaat niet samen.
Noodgedwongen dus een 2e laptop nodig voor de KlingNet software.
Ik kan zeer kort de plus en min punten plaatsen:
+ Toch nog felle ledjes dus valt goed op
+ Kan er low resolution screens mee maken
+ Licht gewicht
+ Meerdere panelen simpel te koppelen
+ Alleen software nodig om te gebruiken
- Je hebt persé kostbare KlingNet software nodig (ERG ERG DUUR! niet onder de 700 Euro te krijgen)
- geen DMX aansluitingen, alleen RJ45
- Bouwkwaliteit: Nergens tegenaan stoten dan vliegen de plastic stukken er vanaf
- Reactie van netwerk componenten niet geweldig.
- Instabiel geheel wat mij betreft, ongeacht welke configuratie
- KlingNet software wil hoog resolutie scherm om alle vensters en knoppen te kunnen tonen. Ik kan niet bij alle knoppen en instellingen met mijn notebook resolutie van 1366*768.
Zo kan ik nog wel meer details bespreken die ik een -min vind, maar ik blijf nog proberen totdat ik precies weet waar het nu mis gaat.
Zo wil ik enkele andere KlingNet hardware aanschaffen en/of lenen en/of huren om gewoon eens te bekijken wat nu het probleem is. De ADJ panelen en interne software of een van de andere componenten die ik gebruik.
Voor nu: Denk goed na voordat je dit produkt aanschaft!
