General
The G2622LH Streamliner Center Block is the left-handed version of this iconic-looking, semi-acoustic guitar. It has an Adjusto-Matic bridge, a V-Stoptail tailpiece and two Broad'Tron BT-2S humbucker pickups. The Center Block in its name refers to the block of wood (made of spruce) that runs through the centre of the body to reinforce the top and prevent any problems with feedback.
Playing comfort and sound
For a comfortable playing experience, the nato neck on the G2622LH has a thin U profile, while the laurel fretboard has a 12-inch radius with 22 medium jumbo frets that are all easily accessible thanks to the double cutaway. When it comes to sounds, the humbucker pickups deliver prominent lows, growling mids and pristine highs that can be tweaked to perfection using the volume and tone controls along with the 3-way pickup switch.
Tuning stability
The combination of the anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, the tailpiece, the synthetic bone string nut and die-cast machine heads mean that the G2622LH has excellent tuning stability too. Wrote the following about Gretsch G2622LH Streamliner Center Block Torino Green
Waarom deze gitaar als "b-stock" werd beschouwd blijft me tot op vandaag nog steeds een raadsel. Op een minieme beschadiging op de kartonnen doos na was deze gitaar immers echt splinternieuw (de plastic bescherming zat nog overal waar die zou moeten zitten). Maar ik was echter vooral verheugd dat ik met dit "b-artikel" toch nog een mooi koopje had gedaan; ik bespaarde immers zeker 5% omwille van het zgn b-stock-artikel en kreeg er de normale (eindejaars)korting nog bovenop....
Ik kan dan ook niet anders dan iedereen aanraden om uw muziekinstrumenten - van welke aard ook - te zoeken bij Bax Music, en twijfel geen moment om ook even in de b-stock artikelen te kijken.....
