The Seiko Holdings Corporation, Seiko for short, is a Japanese manufacturer known for timepieces and quartz watches, among other things. Founder Kintaro Hattori started a clock shop in Tokyo in 1881, after which he began manufacturing clocks under the name Seikosha (house of perfection).
