The Medeli WIMIDI is a plug-and-play wireless USB/MIDI interface for Mac OSX and Windows PCs. With this interface, you can send and receive wireless signals from devices like master keyboards, MIDI controllers, and other computers. The WIMIDI system consists of a transmitter and a receiver that are mounted together, but can be used separately, of course. The interface can send full Duplex MIDI data on the 2.4 Ghz frequency band. The system's transmission range is 15 metres and up to 8 sets can be used simultaneously. Helaas is deze interface niet geschikt voor gebruik met een windcontroller (AKAI EWI4000 of 5000) aangezien deze voortdurend een enorme stroom aan midi-data genereert, welke de Medeli niet aankan, met als gevolg haperingen en hangende noten. Wel geschikt voor gebruik met een keyboard.
