The Akai Professional MPK Mini MK3 is an insanely compact little USB/MIDI keyboard that still somehow manages to offer everything you're going to need to start producing. This pocket-sized production tool will slot comfortably into your backpack with your laptop and is home to 25 mini-keys and a new and improved key-bed, eight endless rotary encoders, and eight pads. A mini-joystick has even been fitted so that you can tweak the pitch and modulation with nothing more than your left thumb, while a bank of controls can be used to adjust parameters like an octaver. You can even hook up a sustain pedal to this fully USB powered keyboard.
The Akai MPK Mini MK3 and a Fistful of Software
These days, it's an unwritten rule that a tasty stack of software always has to come included with any MIDI keyboard. Akai have in no way skimped in this regard since they've thrown in a copy of MPC Beats: a DAW that uses a method not unfamiliar to current Akai fans. You also get MPC Beats Academy that teaches you how everything works, as well as a mass of samples from developers like F9, Decap, Sample Tools by CR2, and MSX Sound Design. On top of that, you get AIR Hybrid, Mini Grand, Velvet and a bunch of MPC Expansion Packs. At this price, you're arguably looking at the bargain of a lifetime.

is niet te krijgen, je pc houd de download en/of installatie tegen ondanks dat het de fabrikant website is... iemand nog een idee waar ik deze software wel fatsoenlijk kan krijgen? zonder de software heb je er niks aan.

Akai APC 25 mark1 : apc heeft een sponzige keybed, MPK is veel betere feel bij witte en zwarte keys.
Akai MPD26: Drumpads zijn hetzelfde formaat en volgens mij ook feel. Ze klikken niet,spelen prettig. Zijn "recessed" bij de MPD maar niet de MPK. RGB backlit bij aanslag op de MPK; cool :-)
Rotaries zijn endless encoders ipv pots op de APC. Voelen prettig stroef en smooth zoals bij de MPD. Voelen fijn voor fijne tweaks, niet echt voor snelle sweeps maar dat is persoonlijk. Joystick is trouwens ook prettig stroef, is geen gammel pookje zoals op sommige controllers. springt terug naar het midden.
Ik heb de special edition grey en vind hem een moderne classy uitstraling hebben. Oled scherm is prettig leesbaar en je kan de rotaries labels geven. Zou wel fijn geweest zijn om een aan/uit switch te hebben (hij springt automatisch aan bij pluggen van USB kabel, die trouwens wel goed vast zit). Ook mist de controller transport knoppen maar dat is geen dealbreaker voor mij. Switchen tussen programs op de controller is intuitief en laad instant.

Oneindige draaiknoppen zijn een enorme +

Meegeleverde software geeft een mooie start, als je nog geen prodcutie software tot je beschikking hebt ++
Iedereen op het internet en je moeder is blij met de drumpads op de midi controller, maar ik vind niet heel bijzonder. Ik had liever meer travel in de knoppen verwacht. Dat is dus mijn persoonlijke voorkeur -
