USB MIDI controllers come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from simple to quite extensive in functionality. The Alesis V25 USB MIDI controller is fairly small and offers fewer functions than its larger counterparts, but - paradoxically - that is actually its biggest strength. If you need a MIDI controller for relatively simple applications, the many knobs and buttons of a more complicated model will go largely unused. Possibilities of the Alesis V25 USB MIDI controller

The full-size keys of the V25 are velocity-sensitive and feature the same square front you can also find on (digital) pianos. In other words: it looks quite stylish! On the left of the keyboard you'll find a moderate but sufficient number of other controls, including the familiar pitch-bend and modulation wheels, as well as four assignable knobs and four assignable buttons. Octave shift buttons enable you to play both the highest and the lowest notes of your DAW plug-ins, and 16 backlit velocity and pressure-sensitive pads allow you to create drum parts - ideal in combination with the accessory copy of Avid Pro Tools First.
