General

While there are hundreds of models to choose from when shopping for a compact USB/MIDI keyboard, only few come at such an affordable price while loaded with so many features as Devine's VersaKey 49. Built using brushed aluminium, this plug-and-play keyboard features aftertouch functionality for enhanced expression and has been fitted with four knobs, eight pads and a transport section for hands-on plug-in control. What's more, there are pitch and modulation controls in the form of touch-strips and, to sweeten the deal, Devine include a copy of Bitwig 8-Track so you can start coming up with fresh beats right away.

Slechte kwaliteit, je kan niet eens met 1 knop het octaaf veranderen. Verder: Goedkope toetsen, ondermaatse kwaliteit.

- De toetsen zijn erg fijn om mee te spelen.
- Drumpads zijn gevoelig, maar ik heb vaak last van ongewenste extra notes, verschillende velocity settings getest
- PitchBend en Modwheel is mn grootste negatief punt. Leuk idee om touchstrips te gebruiken, maar in uitvoering werkt het toch niet zo fijn. Als je de pitchbend niet precies in het midden aanraakt, denkt de software dat je al aan het benden bent en verspringt de noot een stuk. erg lastig
- Draaiknoppen draaien van 0 - 127 , maar je moet een keer of 6 volledig de pols draaien om min-->max te zetten
- Selectieknop voelt aan alsof dat een punt is van falen.

Fijn midi keyboard, ik vind de toetsen persoonlijk een prettige aanslag hebben. De functionaliteiten zijn goed, was prettig en prima aan te sluiten op ableton. Nog niet al te zwaar maar wel heel fijn zo'n tussenmaat qua klavier te hebben. Dat speelt prettig weg en is ook nog prima op je bureau neer te zetten.
