General
The Nektar Panorama P4 is a luxury USB/MIDI keyboard with loads of controls that put you in total command of Propellerhead's Reason or Steinberg's Cubase or Nuendo. No fewer than 93 real-time controls are at your disposal, each in charge of its own parameter. The Panorama P4 also features a comfortable semi-weighted keyboard and twelve velocity and pressure-sensitive drum pads. Both the keys and the pads boast an adjustable velocity curve.
Panorama P4: optimal control
If you're using a DAW like Cubase, Nuendo or Reason, the Panorama P4 is a dream come true. Its dedicated communication protocol ensures that you can operate your software using the controller alone, without help from your computer mouse. The controller can be set to four different modes: mixer, instruments (VSTi or Devices), transport or internal. A total of 93 controls are at your disposal, including a 100mm motorised ALPS fader, 16 knobs, 9 faders, 10 LED buttons, 11 transport buttons, 20 preset buttons and 11 assignable F-keys. While you're working, a clear 3.5" colour TFT display keeps you up to date on your settings.
The ultimate keyboard
The Nektar Panorama P4 has a semi-weighted keyboard that consists of 49 keys with aftertouch, and uses counterweights instead of springs. That means you're able to enjoy the dynamics of a weighted keyboard, as well as the speed of a synth! The keyboard offers an adjustable velocity curve with five different settings, so it always responds just like you want it to.
Tips or comments about this product- A second USB port or an external USB power supply is required to power the entire unit. If you only use one USB port, the entire unit will work, with the exception of the motorised fader.

Werkt fantastisch met mijn vaste DAW Cubase.
Gebruik alle functies behalve de pads maar deze zijn zeker ook niet mis.
Kortom het keyboard is van stevig materiaal gemaakt, de faders zijn van goede kwaliteit alsook de geautomatiseerde fader (uiterst links) het is een gewichtje.

La qualité du toucher était aussi importante pour moi, ne voulant ni un vrai toucher piano (car utilisation de synthé), ni un toucher trop plastique que j'avais pu ressentir sur les MPK, j'ai avec le Panorama un juste milieu qui me convient parfaitement: un toucher semi lesté qui donne vraiment l'impression de jouer avec un instrument et qui permettent aussi d'être très polyvalent.

Display leest duidelijk de parameters af van de (reason) DAW.
Ik vond de toetsen ondermaats cheap aanvoelen. (De oldschool Casio keyboards hadden zelfs betere keys).
De gemotoriseerde ALPS VOluMe knop is uitstekend dan zou je denken maak alle sliders en knobs zo.
Het pad gedeelte is een domper waarom geen 4x4 zoals de KONG sets defaults. Minpunt dus.
En voelen ook nog eens vrij dood aan.
Als je dus nog geen midi controller hebt mbt alles in een en (Reason) is je main DAW, dan is dit zeker een goede keus, verwacht echter geen kwaliteit van de KEYS en of het pad gedeelte, vandaar wat mij betreft een mindere beoordeling.
De kracht van dit apparaat zit dus in het display en directe duidelijke (Reason) parameter weergaven, niet in je Computer maar op het apparaat zelf, een betere workflow dus.
Mocht je dus een al een master keyboard(midi)(Synth/Workstation) in bezit hebben, om de workflow van Propellerhead Reason een boost te geven zou ik echter als tip de combinatie van NI Maschine (Studio) + MachineR (X)RetouchControl. Dan heb je eindeloze creatieve functies.
Fatsoenlijke flitsend snelle pads. En waarschijnlijk een masterkeuze (workstation/key/synth)a al tot je beschikking.
Waarna de Nektar Panorama overbodig wordt wat ook dus bij mij gebeurde.
ps.(X)is de passende versie van je NI keus.
