We had to wait for it, but this second-generation model is already rewarding our patience. Designed to do away with MIDI cables and interfaces, the Alesis V49 MK2 USB/MIDI keyboard is fully plug-and-play and gives producers and musicians 49 touch-sensitive keys, eight pads, four programmable encoders and a pitch-and-modulation wheel. Not only that, there's an on-board arpeggiator that serves as an eternal source of inspiration, and Alesis throw in a worthy software pack that includes a DAW (MPC Beats) plus various MPC expansions and more.
