General
The Samson Carbon 49 is a slightly slimmed down version of the Graphite 49. The various additional elements have made way for an iPad stand, which reveals part of its functionality: you can use it in combination with an iPad! You can easily connect your iPad by means of an Apple Camera Connection Kit or the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. Of course the Carbon 49 is also perfectly compatible with your DAW. The 49 touch-sensitive keys provide a detailed reproduction of the subtleties of your playing style. Additional functionality is offered by the pitch and modulation wheels, among others things. For optimal recording in your DAW, a volume fader and an encoder have been added, both freely assignable. Transpose and octave buttons offer additional user-friendliness.
Connect to your DAW or iPad
The Carbon 49 is made for anyone who likes to record chords both at home or on location. At home you can connect the Carbon 49 to your DAW, while you can use it in combination with your iPad when your are on the road. As a cherry on the cake, a Native Instruments Komplete Elements package is included! This puts a wide range of sounds at your disposal, so you can get started playing and recording right away.

Lekker compact, ik gebruik deze met een Microsoft Surface tablet, die kan er ook in staan en heeft een directe USB aansluiting. Het toetsenbord rammelt wel een beetje maar dat doen ze volgens mij allemaal in die prijsklasse.

An s'ochtends een prima keyboard en doet wat je verwacht. Het voelt echter meer aan als een keyboard dan een piano. Voelt als veel plastic en de echte nuance die je met een pianoles kan aanbrengen mis je. Of dit een probleem is? Ligt er aan wat je wilt. Over het algemeen wordt de midi aan software gekoppeld en dan is de perfecte aanslag nauwelijks meer en detail.

Ik heb 'm een weekje in gebruik gehad en toen ingeruild voor de Roland A-49. Wat een verschil: de Samson rammelt (veel bijgeluiden dus), voelt als plastic en speelt voor mij als ervaren toetsenist gewoon niet lekker. Bij snelle loopjes registreert ie een deel van de noten niet. De Roland is wat duurder, maar speelt super, zoals je gewend bent van de duurdere keyboards met semi-gewogen toetsen. Waarom dan wel drie sterren? Hij is goedkoop, alles werkt direct, de iPad sleuf is leuk gevonden en hij weegt niets. Dus: als je geen veeleisende toetsenist bent met een beperkt budget, dan heb je hier een goeie aan. Anders zou mijn suggestie zijn: neem een midi-keyboard van een gerenommeerd merk. Ook M-Audio geprobeerd, zelfde verhaal.

Prima keyboard, goede instelmogelijkheden en compatible met veel programma's. Werkt bij mij op zowel een iPad als Linux computer. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is ook goed. Een minpuntje is dat je de toetsaanslag hoort, maar het is niet storend. Je kan in veel programma's instellen dat je de toetsen niet zo hard aan hoeft te slaan. Ook terug te lezen in andere reviews.

Geweldig keyboard!
Ik produceer zelf muziek en ben niet gewend piano te spelen dus ik weet niet hoe het daarmee vergelijkt, maar ik vind hem erg fijn spelen. De aanslaggevoeligheid staat wel een beetje hard, je moet dus hard drukken om een luide noot te krijgen. Echter is dit bij de meeste DAW's volgens mij wel in te stellen (velocity curve).
Had eerder een Akai LPK25, maar dit is gewoon niet te vergelijken, de Samson is veel beter.
Nog een erg fijn punt aan deze midi controller vind ik dat de modulation en pitch bend knoppen heel erg soepel en geluidloos bewegen.

Topie keyboard! Speelt heel fijn met standaard toetsen en aanslag gevoelig heb al eerder andere gehad dit is echt leuk met staander voor i-pad echt handig in combinatie met camerakit .
Ik heb het keyboard nu een week en werkt perfect!
