General

Transform your guitar into something else entirely with the EBow Plus. EBow stands for Electronic Bow - if you thought that bows were only for fiddles or the double bass, you were wrong! This small device allows you to recreate the sounds of bowed string instruments like fiddles and cellos on the electric guitar. The EBow Plus creates an electromagnetic field that will cause your string to vibrate endlessly and create a specific tone. It is like a kind of sustainer. The EBow is the ultimate accessory for boosting your creativity and new musical inspiration!

Two Functions of the EBow Plus

The EBow Plus is the second generation of this special tool. This version is equipped with a switch that allows you to create a harmonic sustain as well as regular sustain. The harmonic sustain produces the same sound as when a tone on your guitar is feedbacking, but in this case you can fully control the effect. The EBow is powered by a 9-Volt battery and can be held in the hand that usually holds your pick. By holding it over different parts of your strings, you create various sounds like wind instruments and bowed string instruments to even an organ or a Theremin.

Endless Possibilities

Add more depth to a track by combining the EBow Plug with Reverb, Delay or possibly a slide. Create different layers with a looper in order to reproduce the sound of an entire orchestra. The possibilities are nearly endless. Every time you use the EBow, you will discover new sounds. It is not surprising to find that this device has been used for a lot of songs. The EBow Plus is stylish and has an ergonomic design, fitted with a blue LED that doesn't only look cool, but also illuminates your strings in the dark.

EBow Ebow Plus Sustainer for Guitar

I have wanted an Ebow for years so after watching all the You Tube demos finally bought one from Bax Music. I love it. I love the sound of the sustain and the harmonic mode, it's inspiring some interesting aetherial soundscapes. However, it's not as easy as it looks to use. It works best with the neck pickup on my Strat. You need to 'slide' it from the bridge and as it approaches the pickup it starts to sustain the string, but it takes practice to perfect the technique. It's all about the proximity of the Ebow to the string to the pickup and trying not to catch the two adjacent strings it rests on as they will noisilly rub off the top of the pickup if you press too hard trying to get your sustain started. I'm getting there. It's a great addition to my kit. I'll just keep practicing until I'm more confident with my use of it. I would recommend that you watch all the videos first if you're considering buying one.

EBow Ebow Plus Sustainer for Guitar

EBow Ebow Plus Sustainer for Guitar

EBow Ebow Plus Sustainer for Guitar

Topding, aanrader.

EBow Ebow Plus Sustainer for Guitar

Produit conforme, fonctionne impeccablement bien.

EBow Ebow Plus Sustainer for Guitar

Zeer handig apparaat. Pink Floyd, Coldplay, U2 etc..
