String guides help reduce tension on the nut, making sure that the string slots straight through the grooves before being guided to the machine head. So, if your string guides are worn down, damaged or rusty then they can start messing with the sound or tuning stability of your guitar. The cylinder-style Boston SH-8-N string guide is easily installed using the included mounting screw and comes in nickel for a more classic finish, upgrading the look as well as the sound of your model.
