General
The string guide is a small piece of metal, fitted to the guitar head, just behind the nut and pins down the strings, creating optimal tension to prevent buzzing and literally guiding the string to their machine head. These original Fender string guides are roller-type guides where the strings slide along small rollers, minimising friction and preserving tuning staibility as much as possible. This string guide is mostly used on Fender American Standard Series and this particular pack includes two chrome-plated string guides and mounting screws.

Deze string guide zijn veel beter dan het iele plaatje op mijn Mexicaanse Fender Stratocaster Player.
Heel solide en even een klein gaatje bij boren en binnen 5 minuten klaar. Ik zou eerst de string guide even vastschroeven dan zie je vanzelf op welke plaats je het gaatje bij moet boren. Aanrader 🔝🔝🔝
Zeer snelle levering weer van Bax zoals altijd👍

Ziet er niet alleen beter uit dan dat stukje blik maar is ook veel beter, je moet wel 2 kleine gaatjes bij boren als je ze op een squier zet en let op dat je ze in goede richting je ze zet.

kleine upgrade voor de Fender Player Stratocaster, maar is vele malen beter dan het standaard clipje. Snaren blijven minder vaak hangen, waardoor de tremelo bruikbaar wordt.

In mijn visie als gitaar bouwer vind ik deze string guide erg handig. Het pennetje aan de onderkant dient uiteraard om de string guide perfect parallel met de snaren te plaatsen, dus ik zou deze er zeker niet afknippen of -vijlen. Gewoon de afstand tussen gat en pennetje meten met een schuifmaat, de boorgaten aanduiden met een krasnaald en boren maar. Niet meteen beschikbaar bij Bax-shop, maar het is dan ook een 'genuine Fender product' dat enkel door ervaren gitaristen en bouwers gebruikt wordt.

Vier sterren vanwege het puntje dat ik weg moest slijpen, omdat ik niet nog een extra gat in mijn hals wilde maken. Deze lijkt de snaren onder een iets flauwere hoek te zetten (bij gebruik van bestaande schroefgat), dan het standaard clipje wat bij Mexicaanse fenders wordt geleverd.
