Fender have teamed up with Bruce Egnater to further expand the MTG Series. The result is this Fender MTG Tube Tremolo with three, yes, three switchable waveforms. Use the wave control to sculpt the sine, triangle and square waveforms to taste or the conveniently included level control to throw in a +10 dB tube boost (as long as the intensity control is turned off). Inside the sleek, aluminium housing, you'll also find an NOS 6205 micro tube. This is, arguably, the best pedal I've ever owned. The variety of Tremolo sounds is phenomenal BUT probably the greatest thing about it is the impact it has on overall tone. It just sweetens everything up and gives the guitar tone an irresistible edge that I'm not sure I would do without now. Seriously, when there are songs that I don't want tremolo on, I may just roll the intensity off and keep the pedal on as it sounds so good. I'd highly recommend it to anyone and Bax, as usual, has the best price.

Voor de prijs en mogelijkheden een top pedaaltje.
Mooie tube klank door de tube erin. heel cool. dus ook een preamp functie.
Veel mogelijke wave forms en dan nog eens in elkaar over te vloeien. En verschillende tempo's.
En tap -tempo !
Die combinatie vind je niet snel voor deze prijs met zo een goed geluid. De EHX tremolo's hebben voor deze prijs niet zoveel waveforms incl tap -tempo.
En het blijft simpel. Heel mooi pedaal ook , stevig en leuke led lichtjes op de knoppen.

Als je een vintage tremolo sound wil met veel mogelijkheden... zoek niet verder

Na mijn ‘ontdekking’ van de nieuwe Fender fx, voor mij de Pugilist Distortion en de Marine Layer Reverb, waar ik (zie reviews) zeer tevreden over ben, nu de Fender MTG Tube Tremelo. De mogelijkheden hiervan zijn ongekend. Drie standen, waarbij je bij iedere stand grofweg nog drie mogelijkheden krijgt: links/midden/rechts met natuurlijk alles wat daartussen ligt (blenden).
De Tremelo-mogelijkheden zijn en klinken fantastisch door mijn Tweed Blues Junior. En dan ook nog een buis erin! Vermoed dat er niet veel tremelo fx zijn met zoveel mogelijkheden. Mag helder zijn, ben hier zeer tevreden mee, voor mij een aanrader.

Het pedaal is bovendien “true by-pass”, dus ook als je het uit zet, gaat er geen signaal kwaliteit verloren. Ik heb het pedaal vergeleken met het ingebouwde buizen-tremolo effect van een Fender Vibro-King versterker en kan concluderen dat het daar niet voor onder doet. Sterker nog, ik ben zeer te spreken over de additionele mogelijkheden van het pedaal in vergelijking met de tremolo van de Vibro-King. Dank zij de “mode” en “wave” knoppen op de MTG Tube Tremolo is de variëteit aan mogelijke tremolo-effecten namelijk vele malen groter. Bijzonder nuttig is ook de “level” knop waarbij je het pedaal luider kan stellen. Je verliest immers altijd iets aan volume als je de tremolo aan zet. Zorg er overigens wel voor dat je een goede voeding hebt, want het pedaal trekt 200mA aan stroom. Het werkt niet op batterijen. Daarmee zou je de buis in het pedaal immers niet aan de praat krijgen. Fender bouwt al sinds 1955 buizen-tremolo effecten in haar versterkers en dat is te merken. Het is een prachtig pedaal en ik ben er heel blij mee.
