With the NANO Bad Stone, Electro Harmonix has revived one of their classic effects. The original phase shifter modulation effect was taken off the market for years - to the great regret of many a guitar player - but the pedal is once again available as a compact NANO edition that takes up much less space on your pedalboard, but still offers the same fantastic functionality. The design of the NANO Bad Stone is based on the MK2 version of the pedal. Like its predecessor, it is fitted with Rate, Feedback and Manual Shift knobs.

Bad Stone: a versatile phase shifter

A phase shifter - also known as a phaser - is a modulation effect that copies your guitar signal and creates phase shifts, producing a spacious to heavily pulsating effect. Set the pedal's intensity low and you'll create a sound reminiscent of a helicopter taking off. Turn the intensity up, however, and the effect will pulsate much quicker, reproducing the guitar sound of Nancy Sinatra's hit song Bang Bang. The EHX NANO Bad Stone is a great pedal for experimenting, both on stage and in the studio.

Compact NANO edition

Thanks to its compact, sturdy die-cast housing, the NANO Bad Stone easily fits among the other effects on your pedalboard. It's powered by means of a 9-volt battery or a 9-volt adapter. No effects chain should be without a nifty phase shifter like this!
